Peter || Spoken Word for Easter Part 1
Ideal for Palm Sunday to Good Friday
For this Easter, and in association with Bible Society, I’ve put together two spoken word films that tell the Easter story through the lens of Peter.
This is Part 1 of the story. In it we journey with Peter as he reflects on the final few days of Jesus’ life; from his palm-leaf entry into Jerusalem, through to Jesus’ trial and Peter’s denial. This has to be the lowest moment of Peter’s life as he swears blind he’s ‘never even met the guy!’ It’s a reminder that despite all the best will in the world, Peter messed up royally and let Jesus down. Maybe you can see your self in the story, too? I know I do.
Part 1 homes in on the heartbreak of Jesus’ seemingly certain defeat.
But rest assured, this is not the end of the story, this is only Part 1. And whilst it seems like there’s no way back, Part 2 reflects on the moment in history which changed everything.
