Emerge Spoken Word By Dai WoolridgeA video for Easter or Baptism.
If we started playing a word association game with the word ‘Easter’, you could say ‘Egg’ or perhaps ‘Annual Leave’? It may take you a few goes before you say ‘Water’. But when we follow the story of Jesus we see that water plays a cameo role in the Gospels. From baptism to Jesus’ first miracle, or how about when he shushed a storm at sea?

This is the story of Jesus through the journey of water.
But because of the Easter weekend, Jesus’ story can become our story too.
I invite you to get immersed in the easter story
May may you emerge changed.

Who’s in Charge? / The unlikely candidate?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or cryogenically frozen, you won’t need me to tell you that 2016 has been a turnout for the history books.

Back in June we also saw a major upset in politics as Britain officially told the European Union that it wanted to see other people. Fast forward 6 months and we now know that the President Elect is that guy off the U.S apprentice.

Both results have sent ripples that will be felt on every continent on the face of the earth. It’s fair to say we haven’t entered into a new chapter, but a new book, in a new genre by a different author altogether.

And as Christmas jumpers prepare to make their annual cameo appearance and twiglets make a handsome December profit, it can be easy to be a little more despondent this Christmas in light of such uncertainty.

Whether you’re pro or anti Brexit, for Trump or just feel ‘trumped’, may we all remember that Christmas is about celebrating the most unlikely of candidates. And may we take comfort in the fact that He’s the one who’s in charge.

4 Words 4 Stories

Christmas is supposed to be a precious time of year spent with loved ones – dragging Christmas trees out of garden stores, Michael Bublé on repeat and pretending you don’t know who your secret Santa is. If you’ve seen any of my other Christmas videos, you know the score – the point is to hone in on the reason for the season, underline the 1st syllable of Christmas. 2015 has been a year that has seen so much terror and it makes you wonder, where does Christmas fit in to all of this? Well, if we dig a little deeper into the Nativity narrative, you’ll see four words which are fitting. In isolation, these words would be empty of meaning, perhaps even foolish or distasteful given the pain that surrounds us. But they’re not in isolation, these 4 words are spoken with the birth of a certain baby in mind. And that baby’s Jesus – and that changes everything.
