So the Festive season has arrived once more and as the great Noddy Holder would say… “It’s Christmas!!!!” To be fair, he’s not wrong is he?

Speak Truth; now it’s your turn!

This Christmas, there’s no new video.
Instead, this Christmas I’d like to encourage you to ‘speak truth’ and read, recite or perform live. If that’s not your thing, then maybe this could be an opportunity for someone else?

With that in mind, I have written a spoken word piece called ‘The Ickle King of the Crib’.
We read in John 1 that ‘the word’ (Jesus) was with God and the word was God. Colossians 1 paints a glorious picture of the supremacy of Christ. Yet as we celebrate Christmas, Jesus was a baby…how do these 2 truths hold together?

The heart behind this poem is to capture the beautiful reality that Jesus was both vulnerable and physically weak, yet equally above all creation and our Saviour.
